The price of an overnight stay depends on the number of nights and the number of people. You can see the current prices under “Book a camping raft”. First select your desired location. You will then be shown a price list.

If you would like to stay overnight on a weekend or during the holiday season, it is advisable to make a reservation in the winter beforehand. If you are flexible about location and day, you will find that you can almost always find a nice spot.

You can view current availability via this website. The website is always up to date. If you call customer service with this question, you will be redirected to the website because reservations are not created manually.

No, we don’t have a waiting list. If there is a cancellation, we will release the camping raft immediately. You can only check our website from time to time to see if a place is available.

If you interrupt the reservation process, for example while paying for the night, our reservation system will put the camping raft on hold. This usually does not mean that someone else has just booked the raft. The raft is usually released by the system within half an hour. You can then book it again. If the raft is not available after an hour, you may well be out of luck because the raft has just been booked.

You can stay on a raft with 4 adults or 2 adults + 3 children.

Unfortunately, this is not possible as you cannot be assigned a specific raft when booking.

You will not be assigned a specific raft when booking and you will not be able to specify a preference. Upon arrival, you will sail to the area where the rafts are located and choose your favorite from the complimentary rafts out on the water.

To order a gift voucher, use the online order form on the Gift Voucher page. Here you can choose how many nights you would like to give away and pay immediately. You will then receive a code that you can give as a gift. The recipient can use this code to make an online booking.

We also offer the opportunity to receive a nice gift card. If you are interested, please respond immediately with your address to the confirmation email we send after your purchase. We will send the gift voucher from the Netherlands within two working days. Orders from countries outside the Netherlands therefore have a slightly longer delivery time.

Choose a date and location and fill out the reservation form. There is a code on your gift voucher. You can enter this code when making your reservation. Then you don’t have to pay.

In De Heen you have to pay a small amount of tourist tax upon arrival. This is €1.10 per person per night. There is no tourist tax to pay in Marnemoende.

For both locations there is plenty of free parking at the departure point, where you will pick up the Canadian canoe and sail to your raft.

That depends on how sporty you are and what the weather conditions are. However, for the De Heen and Marnemoende locations we estimate an average of 10 to 15 minutes.

The rafts are at least 50 meters apart from each other.

De Heen: This location does not have a guarded bicycle shed.

Marnemoende: The marina has a bicycle shed.

You can rebook your booking up to one month before the start. We charge €20 administration costs for this. After that, rescheduling is no longer possible and you will have to follow the cancellation conditions.

If you wish to cancel your booking within 24 hours of booking, there are no cancellation fees.

If you cancel up to two months before arrival, the cancellation costs are 15% of the price. From two months to 1 month before arrival, the cancellation fee is 35%. If you cancel from 1 month to 14 days before your arrival date, a cancellation fee of 60% will apply. If you cancel between 14 days and 7 days before your arrival date, a cancellation fee of 85% will apply. If you cancel 7 days or less before your arrival date, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.

If you would like to protect yourself against the risk of cancellation costs, we recommend that you take out travel and/or cancellation insurance from your insurance company.

The raft has a total area of 25 square meters. The tent has an area of 12.5 square meters.

You can stay on a raft with 4 adults or 2 adults + 3 children.

The Canadian canoe is included in your reservation. If you would like to use multiple canoes or a different type of canoe, you can rent them locally depending on your location.

We assume that around 99% of all guests will be able to do this. If you don’t succeed, you’ll have to go up and down in the canoe to collect the rest of your luggage.

There are no sanitary facilities on the raft. To use toilets and showers, you take the canoe back to your starting point. This takes about 10 to 15 minutes. We understand that this is less comfortable at night, for example. That’s why camping equipment includes a toilet bucket for “emergencies”.

No, there aren’t any. So you can’t charge a phone. But actually it’s wonderful to be offline for a while…

There isn’t a refrigerator on the raft. You can compare an overnight stay on a raft to camping in a tent, but on the water. In warm weather, we advise you to use a cool box.

There is no heating on the raft. You can compare spending the night on a raft with camping. We recommend that you adapt to the weather conditions in terms of clothing and sleeping bag.

The rafts in Marnemoende cannot be closed. There you tear the tarpaulin shut. In addition to the zipper, the rafts in De Heen can also be locked with a code lock.

That is absolutely allowed. If you arrive with your own canoe, we do not offer a discount on the overnight price.

De Heen: Yes, you can and should enjoy swimming in the Steenbergse Vliet. Blue-green algae periods occur in midsummer. That’s when swimming is strongly discouraged.

Marnemoende: You can swim from the raft.

Fishing from your raft or large Canadian canoe is great fun and is done very regularly. When fishing you must comply with local regulations and always require a permit.

Grilling on the wooden rafts is not permitted due to the risk of fire and the high risk of damage to the raft.

In De Heen you can barbecue on a meadow near the starting point.

In Marnemoende a barbecue area has been created on an island nearby or on your camping raft.

You stay in the middle of nature, which we don’t want to disturb. We also don’t want any noise pollution for other rafts in the area. Therefore, making loud noises or playing music is not permitted.

De Heen: in Steenbergen, a 5-minute drive by car.

De Heen: You can enjoy a great breakfast at the restaurant of recreation company Akkermans.

We do not offer breakfast service in De Heen. In Marnemoende you can order breakfast in the restaurant in the marina and collect it the next day from 9:30 a.m.

De Heen: You can even go to a restaurant in 15 minutes by canoe! The Beneden Sas restaurant is located on the lock island near the Dintelse Gorzen nature reserve near the monumental lock complex, very close to your starting point. Marnemoende: In the marina, the starting point of your adventure, you will find the Marnemoende beach bar and the Rivers restaurant. Further information about other restaurants in the area: www.inijsselstein.nl

De Heen: You can do a lot at the leisure company Akkermans, for example renting a sloop, a SUP or e-choppers. But also think of escape rooms, adventure golf, adventure maze or the 9-hole par 3 golf course. De Heen camping rafts are close to the special nature reserve De Dintelse Gorzen, where you can spot Scottish Highlanders. Your raft is located near Natuurpoort Benedensas, the starting point, and on the Brabantse Wal, which is full of nature, culture and history.

Marnemoende: You can rent boats and SUPs in the marina. Nearby are the beautiful old Dutch towns of Oudewater, Montfoort and IJsselstein, where you can walk and immerse yourself in history. Marnemoende is an official TOP (tourist transfer point) and an ideal starting point for hiking, cycling and boat tours.

Even in less favorable weather such as wind and rain, your reservation remains valid. The risk of bad weather lies with the renter of the raft. Compare it to a ticket to a sunny place where the weather is bad. In the event of a thunderstorm, you will be safe on the raft in the wooden tent. Then don’t take the canoe out on the water, but wait until the rain has passed.

Dogs are allowed at the De Heen and Marnemoende locations. Please note that the dog has limited freedom of movement. In addition, the rafts can only be reached by water. Your dog cannot go ashore directly from the raft to go for a walk but will travel with you in the canoe. Of course, the dog is not allowed to cause any damage, dirty the raft or disturb the surrounding area. Clean the raft particularly thoroughly upon departure.
